What I Do
Coaching uncovers learning and produces action that can lead to more fulfilment, more balance, and a more effective process for living and working. Well and Good Coaching offers a range of coaching support for organisations and individuals who do good at work, in the not-for-profit and public sectors. I work with my clients to help them to achieve results, and sustain life-changing habits and behaviours, in both their personal and working lives.
My coaching focuses on staying well while doing good. I will not coach you to optimise every last minute of your time, become endlessly more and more productive, or work out how to fit any and all additional projects and commitments into your day. I will coach you to establish a deep connection with yourself: what matters to you, why you go to work each day, and what your core goals at work are. Then, I will work with you to change your approach to work, so that you can get what matters done and take the best possible care of yourself while you do it.
Over the course of six or more sessions, we'll nail down what you want and what you need at work. We'll examine what impacts your ability to stay well and do good work, from your morning routine to the meetings you say yes to, from how you spend your leisure time to when and how you manage your inbox. Once we understand as much as possible about the problems and their root causes, we'll agree solutions together and then work towards them with focus, clarity and determination.
Sometimes a new approach won't work. We'll work out why, and squeeze every last drop of knowledge from that experience. Then we'll try again in a different way. Coaching works because it's a relationship of equals, both committed to achieving the growth you need and want. It's truly incredible, and I can't wait to show you why!
A bit more about coaching
Coaching is a series of expertly managed, outcome-driven conversations. It's a partnership at a deeper level than you'd establish with a colleague or line manager. It’s about determining what you want at work, what’s getting in your way, and what you need to do to get from where you are now, to where you want to be. This might be how you feel about or experience:
work in general
your current job
your confidence levels
your communication skills
your working relationships
the amount you get done in a working day
and anything else you can think of that affects your working life.
I provide one-to-one coaching, typically across a course of six or more sessions. Following a no-cost discovery call, in which we check our chemistry and establish what you want to get out of coaching, we'll embark upon a journey centred around you: your goals, what's helping and hindering you, and what you're going to do to shift things. At each subsequent session I provide warm-yet-challenging accountability and structure: What went well? What went badly? What are you going to tackle next? The simple miracle of coaching lies in the power of being completely accepted, listened to, supported and challenged while you do the often messy work of moving your life closer to the one you want.
Is coaching right for you?
I strongly believe that everyone can benefit from coaching. We can all find new ways to develop, learn and get out of our own way at work. That said, the hourly coaching sessions I provide are part of a recipe, the main ingredient of which is your commitment to yourself.
Coaching doesn't work if you're not willing or able to devote a meaningful amount of your time and attention to working on yourself. The growth only comes with application and meaningful self-reflection.
If you need something about your working life to change, but you struggle to determine exactly what that is, or find yourself repeating unhelpful patterns again and again, no matter what you try, coaching can help you.
How can we work together?
Feeling ready to explore coaching with me? Brilliant! How does that look?
First things first, we'll arrange a free discovery call: 25 minutes for you to download your reasons for seeking out coaching, and for me to establish whether or not I'm the right coach for you. This call also provides a vital chance to check whether we gel as people. A positive rapport is a vital aspect of coaching, and that initial feeling can't be faked.
If we're both confident that the coaching relationship has legs, we'll book in our first session.
Most clients sign up for a block of six bi-weekly or monthly sessions, which allows me to map our progress and determine the depth with which we approach each topic or issue. It's also possible to book individual sessions on a rolling basis. This can work well if you're working on a career or job change, and need responsive support in line with your interview schedule.
My rates for coaching
25 minute discovery calls are free-of-charge.

Coaching options
Coaching at work
I coach not-for-profit employees for focus, impact, reduced stress and heightened wellbeing. I help people to be happier, while doing great work.
Career coaching
I support people who feel stuck in their career to drill down into what the next step should be, then we use coaching to get them there.
Coaching for organisations
My coaching packages for organisations allow you to offer high-quality coaching to a number of colleagues at once, with regular reporting and demonstable results.
Support for a return to work
I support people returning to work after time off for mental ill-health or parental leave. Together, we build strategies to safeguard wellbeing while doing impactful work.
In our 25 minute chemistry section, you tell me the single, work-related issue you need to tackle. We schedule a one-hour coaching session, I send you a set of exercises to complete in advance, then we spend one hour going hard at that sticky issue. This option works well if you have limited time or budget, and are prepared to work hard and receive a lot of challenge over the course of one hour.
