Coaching support for a return to work
Providing you with the support you need to stay well at work following a period of parental or sick leave.
Returning to work after welcoming a new child to the world, or following time off for stress or mental or physical ill-health, can be a daunting prospect, for both the employee and their line manager. Dedicated coaching support at this crucial time is an invaluable investment in the employee and the impact they can have in their role.
Coaching support for returning from parental or adoption leave
Nobody returns to work after welcoming a new child into their family unchanged.
Children turn our lives upside down in the best possible way, and that naturally has an impact on how we feel about and approach our work. Some people find the shift back to work painful, others are delighted by the prospect of time spent being their 'old self' and enjoying multiple hot cups of tea, uninterrupted. Whatever your standpoint, coaching in advance of, and during, your return to work can help to make this transition as pleasant as possible.
Coaching support for returning to work after parental or adoption leave can help with:
Building your confidence back up after months away from work.
Setting clear intentions for this new phase of your working life, now your priorities have inevitably been shifted by a major life event.
Bullet-proofing your time management and prioritisation skills at work and at home (especially important if you've opted to switch to part-time hours).
Developing the mindset needed to advocate for yourself as a parent in the workplace, from asking for time off for the nativity play to navigating last-minute childcare crises.
Finding the time and motivation to take excellent care of yourself as you become a working parent.
Creating a plan you feel good about your return to work, and supporting you to implement that plan.
Coaching support for returning from sick leave
Time out from work for sickness can be a frustrating and disorienting experience, and returning from time off can be daunting.
All too often, our jobs (and how we approach them) can be a contributing factor to illness in the first place. Whether or not this is the case for you, coaching can make the return to work after a period of sick leave a manageable - even enjoyable - experience.
Coaching support for returning to work after mental or physical ill health can help with:
Reflecting on how your job has impacted your health up to now, and establishing what (if anything) needs to change.
Making an evidence-based plan to advocate for yourself and your needs as you return to work.
Putting in place new habits, tools and frameworks to ensure that work remains manageable and enjoyable.
Developing the self-care strategies that you need to create a baseline of good health that makes great things possible, at work and in your personal life.
